Research Topic

The 1,3-dipolar Huisgen cycloaddition of 4-azidobenzoic acid with strained 5-norbornene-2-carboxylic acid is a promising alternative to the known strain-promoted and Cu- or Rh-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloadditionen.
The aim is to functioalize solid phases such as rink amid resin or porous networks, such as the MOF NU-1000, with peptides in order to expand their properties and possible applications.
The current research focus is the improvement of the synthesis conditions and the subsequent investigation of the new material properties.
